The Gallup-Palmer Report for 2018 was recently released and the results are exciting! The poll represents over 5,000 people from the US. Focusing on the prevalence of chiropractic usage, patient preferences for health care providers, as well as patient experiences; this study shows chiropractors as some of the highest rated health care specialists in the country.
Chiropractic was shown to be used by the majority of American’s suffering from neck or back pain. Patients of chiropractors were more likely to say that they feel their doctor listens, demonstrate care and compassion, explains things well, and provides convenient, quick access to care. Given the choice, most respondents to the study preferred non-drug pain management, most of which included spinal manipulation. With the results of the study, going forward a multidisciplinary approach to neck or back pain would be a huge asset to those who suffer from these conditions.
